Troop 51 welcomes you! We want every Scout to be safe, to have fun, and to be successful. We want you to want to be with us!
In order to join Troop 51, we require a Scout to visit us 3 times. That allows you to get to know us, how we do things, and helps you know if our Troop will be a good fit for you.
We are a Troop that follows the 8 methods of Scouting, including the method of Uniform. Prior to joining our Troop, please come in full BSA uniform. If you need assistance, ask us!
On your third visit, you will sit down with the Scoutmaster of Troop 51 where he will ask you if you are enjoying being with the Troop and if YOU want to join us. It is the decision of the Scout, not Mom or Dad.
We also require either parent or guardian to visit with our New Parent Coordinator or our Troop Committee Chair to see how you can help run the Troop. Every family is expected to contribute to the running of the Troop in some way.
Following your decision to join us, you will need to fill out a BSA application, pay your registration fee if you are not currently registered with the BSA, and pay your first months dues.
Dues are $18 a month and that covers your registration fee for the coming year, awards, patches, badges, and all of the other costs associated with running a Troop.
